ok i know its late but super lazy hehe

part 1 of scc

Well it’s officially over SCC 07, and this year was a tad bit different than years past.  First off is the new hotel it was held in the Crown Plaza, beautiful hotel and the location is just perfect right next to the mall, yes I did go shopping.  The staff had little time to adjust to the overwhelming transgender community living in their hotel but they did a fabulous job and treated us with respect and understanding.

Ok so here is a brief day to day account

Wednesday 9/12

Got up bright and early and made sure that I packed all I need and what I need.  I packed the car and I needed to make one small stop to the post office, I was waiting for my wig, but it never came so I was upset.  But I did pack two wigs so I was ok and I didn’t have to go home to get another one.   Well after that I went to get breakfast at my bagel shop and ordered it to go.   I left my town at 845am and was on my way to Westchester airport in White Plains (HPN).  Took me about 45-50 minutes to get there, no traffic on the way there and I live in the NY metro area, I was so happy.  Well I never flew out of HPN I usually take JFK or LGA to ATL, HPN was a lot cheaper.  I didn’t know how long the lines would be at HPN or how long TSA would take so I checked in via online, saves so much time in the long run.   All I had to do at the airport was check my baggage which I did, then I proceeded to TSA and went thru fine and quick.  Now as I sat in the terminal and got comfy as I was 1.5 hrs early I saw Kathie lee Gifford and her assistant, no I did not get a picture I didn’t want to be a pest as no one else seem to notice or care that she was there.  Anyways, as time wore down and I boarded my plane, it was kind of different here at HPN.  We had to walk outside and board on the tarmac and not by a gate, thought that was cool.  Ok so I settled down to my seat and got comfy it was going to be 2 hrs before we landed in ATL. No meals were served and I was starving but I needed to loose weight so I fought the urge and thought about food and chewed my gum, HAHA.   An uneventful 2hrs, I might say no movie.   As we landed in ATL and I made my way to baggage terminal, I got a call from Annette a good TG friend of mine coming in from BOS.  She just landed as well and will be at baggage soon, and asked where I was I told her baggage waiting for suitcase.  She met me at my baggage claim, and it was like 230 now and I still haven’t got my suitcase, and everyone else on board with me left with theirs.  I was getting worried did they loose my luggage? Was it sitting in HPN open with my forms out to everyone can see?  So I went to the baggage customer service dept and they said that it did not make the flight and was still in HPN, I was like WHAT why? No one told me?  So they assured me that it will be on the next flight coming in at 530p (DAM, DAM, DAM) and that they would drop it at the hotel.  Sigh what a blow huh.  So I left ATL with my friend and grabbed a cab to the Crown Plaza. 58 bucks total so we split the fare.

Walking into the new facility it was definitely a change, registration was now on the same floor to the left of the entrance, and they had like 4 eating places. The place was much cleaner and bigger (more land).  The back had a garden/waterfall, very natural and lots of walking paths, it was beautiful.  We checked in to our room, went to register to receive my badge and packet.  And it was now around 4pm and it was still worried about my luggage everything was in there, still hoping that I comes.  Well we walked the hotel looking around, found the pool/heatlh club,  it was clean and indoors and a huge sundeck.  We then decided to go to dinner at garrisons, it was located across the street   great food and wait staff,  it was a tad bit pricy but still with in reason.  I had oysters half shell, surf and turf… I loves me seafood  mmmm, mmm, good. So I would recommend Garrisons if you are ever at Perimeter Mall in ATL.   After dinner we strolled the mall to just check it out and see where a nail salon was and ear pierced place would be.  We returned to the hotel and it was now like 9ish, and my bags still have not come in. I was so worried.   Well then we walked around the hotel to say hi to some old friends and make some new ones even though I was not dressed properly.  Well as it was getting close to now 11pm I decided to go to my room and just paced like a new father in a waiting room, I feel a sleep for like 1 hr and 15 minutes.  Then my cell rang  at 1245 it was my luggage it was here, I rushed down stairs and greeted the transport luggage guy and I saw the bag and THANK GOD it was the right one.  (that would of sucked ass if it was the wrong one) .  but  I was relieved and I slept like a baby.

Thurs 9/13

Ok bare with me here these next couple of days are not so dramatic as the first day, cause I didn’t go to any seminars. Sorry…

Well I woke up at like 10 ish and I showered and shaved and got ready to go eat lunch. My roommate Annette was already in downstairs, waiting.    We sat with people that we knew from past SCC’s or from other parties in the North East area.  It was a decent lunch nothing to really wow about it.  a little after lunch we headed over to the mall, I had to get my nails done and she needed some more shirts.  There were 2 place to get nails done one was a spa , I went there and asked for an appointment they had no openings (they probably did though, they just don’t want us there), so I went to the other place, a small nail salon in the corner near Dillards.  It small, cozy and tucked away, the people are so kind and very professional, and the price is very affordable.  So I got my manicure and pedicure, the tech commented on how soft my feet were and that they were very clean and nice.   Well I laughed and said thanks. It took roughly an hr for me, and it was about 330-400. we then strolled the mall for another hr or so to check out the mall.

As dinner time rolled around we were back at the hotel getting ready for dinner. We had separate plans I was to eat with my VC sisters at our annual SCC dinner and Annette was to eat with her friends at some place other than the hotel.  For the VC dinner I wore a white linen dress with black ballet flats, I rode with 2 other VC girls to the restaurant that was like miles away from the hotel.  I forgot the name of the place its some French name. oh well.  The dinner was great thanks to the organization of our president, and I meet so many new sisters there it was a pleasure to see and meet them all.  As dinner was winding down and all of us were heading back to the cars we came in, and me and my VC sisters, almost got lost.   Two blondes in the front and two brunettes in the back (not going to name names) but we eventually found our way back to the hotel.  It is now like I think 930-10pm and the night was still young.  Tonight’s entertainment is Twinkledome,  and omg is she a hottie and cutie, now she is a girl I would love to have relations with hehe.  I ventured in to the ball room even tho I don’t dance I just wanted to see what was all the hoopla. I stayed until about 12 or so and went back to my room and slept..
